Guest loyalty programme

In today's article, we would like to draw your attention to loyalty programmes offered by hotels.
Who's a loyal guest?
This is the one that prefers to book directly with the hotel. This is important for both the guest and the hotel, as both parties benefit from direct communication. On the one hand, the guest benefits as much as possible from the lowest possible price, and on the other hand, the hotel does not pay additional commissions to agents, which is the case when booking through OTA channels such as booking.com, Trivago, AirBNB and others.
What is a guest loyalty programme?
To reward guests who choose to book direct, the hotel creates loyalty programs that offer additional discounts on the final price. These discounts can range from 3% to 5% on top of the already discounted price on the hotel's website. The percentage discount depends on the number of nights already spent at the hotel. The more nights you have spent, the bigger the discount will be. Information about the nights is stored and collected over time. For example, if you made a reservation through an online agent last year, the hotel keeps the information for that reservation, and when you call to make a direct reservation the following year, the hotel gives an additional discount as an incentive. This keeps the relationship between the guest and the hotel. If you combine this program with discounts for previous reservations, there is a good chance that your vacation will be 25% or more cheaper than if you booked through an online agent.
In short, always look for direct contact with the hotel of your choice, so you can compare prices and make the most of the discounts on offer.
